Bahrain's Law 27 of 2014 is tenant-protective: rent cannot rise within the first 2 years, then is capped at 5% (residential) and only up to five times over the lease term, with 3 months' registered-letter notice. A residential tenant generally cannot be required to vacate during the first 3 years. Eviction grounds are listed in Article 38 (e.g. two months' non-payment); owner-occupation needs 6 months' notice.
